JOB PURPOSEThe role holder is responsible for the development and maintenance of the payment platform related to tv and TV apps. This includes writing the highly scalable REST APIs for different clients, which includes but not limited to third-party telco operators as well as internal systems. The person should have strong understanding of the different payment life cycles like subscription, un-subscription, renewals etc… The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedure

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Coordinates with team-mates for day-to-day development-related activities.Participates in meetings and provides input wherever needed.Builds a healthy team environment via professional communication.Takes ownership and responsibility of work.

Develop, Test, MonitorReviews the code written by team-mates to ensure quality checks.Solves the problems/challenges that are faced when performing day-to-day activities, efficiently and timely.Delivers high-quality code as part of the development tasks.Maintains and enhances the existing micro-services.Implements and executes the automated test cases with every feature that he/she has worked on.Assists and supports the DevOps team in monitoring the health of production services.Responds proactively to any production incidents, analyzes and solves as soon as possible.Work on bug fixing and improving application performance, suggest process improvement wherever necessary.Ensures the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS8+ years of experience building backend applications/systems using Java/KotlinBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent is requiredExperience working with Spring framework, JAX-WS, REST, JDBC, Hibernate ORMExperience working with Automated Testing Frameworks like JUnitExperience working with Databases like MySQL, PostgreSQLExperience working with caching systems like Redis, AWS Memory DB, AWS ElastiCacheKnowledge of AMQP and Message Brokers like RabbitMQKnowledge of CI/CD Pipeline and experience working with tools like JenkinsKnowledge of APM tools like DataDog, New RelicKnowledge of code quality inspection tools like SonarQubeKnowledge and experience working with Distributed SystemsKnowledge of developing and maintaining payment processing systems, recurring billing and subscription lifecycle management systems.Integrating payment gateways and third-party subscription services.Implementing secure payment authentication and authorization mechanisms
