The purpose of this NEW position is specifically focused on Remote Process Automation (RPA), Business Process Automation (BPA) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies to seek ways to increase our internal workforce efficiency by reducing manual processes that could otherwise be made easier or eliminated using automation technologies. This role is to perform technical design and development of new features for assigned products or services, as well as to provide guidance and assistance for ongoing technical maintenance and support. This includes: analysis, project estimating, design, development/coding, testing and documentation. This position will also assist in long-range planning and recommendations regarding technical architecture.
Job ResponsibilitiesGains an understanding of internal processes with guidance from Product Owners, Product Analysts, Business Analysts, and general subject matter experts to understand the opportunities for automation. Provides technical expertise in RPA/BPA/ML technologies including OCR and sets the direction for best approach for prioritized scenarios deemed as candidates for automation improvement.Develops and enhances solutions using appropriate technology to solve for automation needs.Analyses current automation footprint to understand and evaluate success or need for improvement, resulting in a reduction of FTE hours from operational departments.Promotes strong quality practices by performing unit testing and providing appropriate level of support for user acceptance testing, as needed.Maintains accurate technical documentation for assigned programming projects.Coordinates with technical Architects and Leads to determine best implementation approach in line with our standard development practices.Serves as a mentor to other technical staff to enhance their productivity and educate them on RPA/BPA/ML strategy, thereby building internal subject matter expertise within the team’s breath of knowledge.Participates in long-range planning and makes recommendations regarding technical architecture related to automation strategies. Communicates with third party vendors, end users, customers and internal product stakeholders on systems requirements, enhancements and recommendations to support business direction.Develops and maintains a solid understanding of the technology tools and trends and remains current in new technology developments and their potential impact on the department.
QualificationsExperience:5+ years of progressive experience in analysis, technical design, coding and testing of applications, with at least 3 years in automation technologies including Optical Character Recognition (OCR).Strong experience in backend development with C# .NET. Prior experience working with RPA/BPA tools such as Power Automate is ideal.Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Previous experience mentoring others on technical issues.Education:Associate's degree in a Computer Science or technology-related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.In lieu of degree, may consider a combination of education and related work experience.Computer Skills:Command of common architectures (Rest Web Services).Understanding of SQL Server development and database structures. Other Requirements:Systems analysis and design skills.Strong problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical and non-technical issues with customers, vendors and product stakeholders at various levels.

J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $110,000.00 to $125,000.00 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s overall experience and geographic location.
