Role: Java/Mainframe Integration Developer

Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled and versatile Java/Mainframe Integration Developer with expertise in Java programming and a solid understanding of Mainframe systems. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between modern Java-based applications and existing Mainframe systems. This role does not require COBOL expertise but focuses on the effective integration and migration of applications to the MVS environment, with a general knowledge of Mainframe concepts.

Key Responsibilities:Java Development:Develop and maintain Java-based applications, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.

Mainframe Integration:Work on integrating Java applications with existing Mainframe systems.Collaborate with Mainframe teams to facilitate seamless communication and data exchange.

Migration to MVS:Develop strategies and execute plans for migrating applications to the MVS environment.Provide guidance on best practices for moving applications from distributed environments to Mainframe. Mainframe General Knowledge:Possess a general understanding of Mainframe systems, including file systems, data structures, and communication protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.4+ years' experience as a full stack developerStrong proficiency in Java development with a proven track record of successful projects.Experience with Mainframe integration, focusing on the effective communication between Java and Mainframe applications.Knowledge of the MVS environment and strategies for migrating applications to Mainframe systems.General understanding of Mainframe concepts, without the need for COBOL expertise.Familiarity with Mainframe file systems, data structures, and communication protocols.Previous experience in successfully moving applications from distributed environments to Mainframe.Strong oral and written communication
