Senior Laravel Developer

As a Senior Laravel Developer, you will be joining our International Development team, directly reporting to a Team Lead. Work alongside our team of full stack engineers and assist them in creating new features across our broad product range, as well as working to define and create new, exciting products for our clients.

You'll be expected to work with a range of technologies utilising PHP and Laravel. We work within the AWS ecosystem, and any previous exposure is gladly welcomed. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and teach your knowledge to others as you progress.

A Senior Developer will play a key role in the development of new and existing projects employing the latest technologies. You must be highly technical with a drive for problem solving and re-imagining methods of completing tasks.

The ideal candidate will have:At least 5 years’ commercial experiencePrevious experience of working as a senior developerDemonstrable evidence of personal learning and development (Github / Gitlab, code samples, StackOverflow / community contributions etc)The ability to Identify and suggest upon key areas of improvement throughout the systemsLead and support development of existing and new featuresMentor and train the teammates on best practices and help them move forward in their careers

Requirements:Deep and thorough knowledge of and development experience within Open source technologies including but not limited to PHP, Laravel and PostgreSQLProven and demonstrable knowledge of SQL and Database DesignProven experience in designing and consuming Web APIsAbility to translate client and stakeholder requirements into technical specifications Ability to take charge of multiple projects and manage projects from design to delivery Ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines, adapting to a fast-paced environmentIn depth understanding of clean code approaches, design patterns and SOLID principlesExcellent communication skillsA keen eye for and attention to detailAnalytical mind and problem-solving aptitudeStrong organisational skills

Desirable:Experience of other front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular, Blazor, etc)Knowledge and experience of other web languages and technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSSKnowledge and experience of deploying to AWS cloud infrastructure using AWS DevOpsExperience of (or desire to) develop for mobile devices (Xamarin Forms, Cordova, React Native, Ionic etc)Worked in or have knowledge of the Waste Management sector
