Back End Python Developer

The Services, delivered in collaboration with and under supervision by nominated client personal consist of the following:

Translation of supplied data schemas into Django models.Development of access control mechanisms.Development of views/filter/search functionality for data models based on user requests.Development of data workflow and transition functionalities.Development of a Web API to access stored data via a given URL in a supplied format.Development of automated build, test and deployment, using Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and deployment technologies agreed to by the client.Diagnostic support/logging capabilities.Work effectively in a small team environment.Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other team members.Record and maintain files/information in accordance with the Buyer requirements.

Essential criteria

Python Software Development skills.Django Web Framework development skills.Linux Operating Systems.Experience with Git / Version Control Systems.DevOps Automation Practices.Writing for and deployment using Docker/ Kubernetes.Continuous Integration Systems.Postgres and SQL/MySQL skills.

Desirable criteria

Experience in bringing solutions together and are adaptable to evolving future requirements.Ability to mentor junior staff and provide guidance on solution development/integration best practice.Familiarity with test-driven development and standards for the production environment.Good communication skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of organisational staff.The ability to obtain and maintain an client NV1 Security Clearance.Ability to work in small team environment.Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry certifications.
