Roles & ResponsibilitiesAs a Shopify Backend Developer, you will be at the forefront of creating and maintaining a seamless, high-performance, and secure backend infrastructure for our e-commerce platform. Your work will be vital in providing our customers with an exceptional user experience. You'll collaborate closely with our talented front-end developers, designers, and project managers to deliver the best possible results. Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and optimise our Shopify store's backend infrastructureIntegrate and maintain third-party apps, APIs, and services to enhance the store's functionalityCollaborate with the front-end development team to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end systemsWrite clean, well-documented, and scalable code, adhering to best practices and industry standardsTroubleshoot and resolve any backend-related issues, ensuring maximum uptime and performanceContinuously research and implement new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to improve the store's backend infrastructureCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to meet project milestones and deliverablesProvide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed

This Role Requires:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field3 to 5 years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Shopify and e-commerce platformsExpertise in server-side languages, such as Ruby on Rails, Python, or Node.jsIn-depth knowledge of Shopify's Liquid template language, API, and app ecosystemProficient in database management, with experience using PostgreSQL or other relational databasesStrong understanding of RESTful APIs and web servicesFamiliarity with version control systems, such as GitExcellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environmentDetail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
