API Developer - Integration with ONDC Platform

Position: API Developer - Integration with ONDC Platform (Paid Internship)Location: Bangalore (Remote)Stipend: Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 35,000 for 2-3 months

Role Overview:As an API Developer specializing in cab mobility integration, you will play a crucial role in connecting our cab service with the ONDC platform. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and testing. You will collaborate closely with our backend development team, utilizing the CodeIgniter framework, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:1. API Integration: Integrate our cab mobility service API with the ONDC mobility platform API, adhering to the specifications outlined in the provided documentation.2. Design and Development: Design robust and scalable solutions for API integration, considering factors such as security, performance, and reliability.3. Code Implementation: Develop clean, maintainable code using PHP and the CodeIgniter framework to implement the integration logic.4. Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of the integrated API to ensure functionality, compatibility, and data integrity across platforms.5. Deployment: Manage the deployment process, ensuring smooth rollout of the integrated solution into production environments.6. Documentation: Document the integration process, including technical specifications, implementation details, and troubleshooting guidelines.7. Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project success.8. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support for the integrated API, troubleshooting issues, and implementing fixes as needed.

Requirements:1. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in PHP programming language. - Experience with the CodeIgniter framework for backend development. - Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles. - Familiarity with JSON and XML data formats. - Knowledge of Git version control system for collaboration and code management.2. API Integration Experience: Proven experience integrating third-party APIs into existing systems, with a focus on end-to-end integration.3. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.5. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability in API integration and testing.6. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly adapt to changing requirements and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI.- Proven experience as an API Developer or similar role, with a strong background in API design, development, and integration.- Familiarity with ONDC specifications and mobility standards, with prior experience in integrating APIs with external platforms being a plus.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions within specified timelines.
