Description:Join the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) team in building the Minnesota Provider Screening and Enrollment (MPSE) portal. We're seeking two full-time developer resources to collaborate on this exciting project remotely.
As a developer on the MPSE team, you'll closely collaborate with our development team to enhance application functionality, efficiency, and user experience. Working alongside Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and subject matter experts, you'll identify and implement code changes and additions to support project enhancements and legislative requirements. This initiative encompasses various components, including a front-end Provider Enrollment Processor (PEP), a back-end Provider Validation Service (PVS), and associated Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and database enhancements.
Responsibilities:Enhance the application's functionality, efficiency, and user experience.Develop and execute test scripts for functionality validation.Collaborate with Business Analysts and Quality Assurance to implement code changes.Recommend and implement specific code modifications.Work with Technical Architects to understand the software application.Perform software development maintenance and bug fixes.Ensure adherence to Object Oriented programming best practices.Conduct comprehensive system and application code testing.Provide documentation and knowledge transfer.
Minimum Qualifications:7 years of Java development experience.5 years of web development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, JQuery).4 years of automated testing and Spring MVC experience.4 years of Drools experience, particularly with Decision tables.4 years of experience developing State Medicaid Provider Enrollment applications.
Desired Skills:Experience in application design and architecture.Proficiency with web services, WebSphere application server, JPA/Hibernate, and Maven.Familiarity with JavaScript testing frameworks, Selenium/WebDriver, Eclipse, and Oracle Database.
