Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Backend Developer (Snowflake, Talend, DBT). The Backend Developer will be responsible for Design and implement ETL/ELT for extracting, transforming (with DBT), integrating data from diverse sources using Talend, and data warehousing using Snowflake. Ensure ETL code delivered is running and conforms to specifics and design guidelines, and ensure the reliability of data warehouse. Unit testing ETL code to ensure it can be delivered and run in a system testing environment. Design and develop database tables necessary along with the necessary constraints as per the requirement.Collaborate with team members to investigate and resolve technical/performance issues. Support the development of data transformation logic using ETL tools or scripting languages like SQL, Python, etc. Clean, validate, and transform data to conform to target schema and quality standards. Work with the team to execute data quality improvement plans. Participate in troubleshooting activities to maintain data integrity and process efficiency. Maintaining technical documentation. Requirements • Minimum 3 years of experience using Talend and Snowflake. • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field. • 3+ years of working with programming language focused on data pipelines, eg. Python or R. • 3+ years of experience working on GCP, Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google) or other cloud platform (optional). • 3+ years of experience in Data warehousing. • 2+ years of experience with different types of storage (filesystem, relation, MPP, NoSQL) and working with various kinds of data (structured, unstructured, metrics, logs, etc). • 2+ years of experience working with SQL. • Very good knowledge of Git, Gitflow and DevOps tools (e.g. Docker, Bamboo, Jenkins, Terraform). • Familiar with Agile methodologies. • Strong sense of responsibility and initiative, excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
