We’re seeking a talented individual who is rigorous and passionate about building cutting-edge AI applications. You’ll partner with our CEO and Head of Video Engineering to design and build our company-defining AI models and applications.

What you’ll be doing

You will play a crucial role in owning and building our AI applications, directly impacting our customer experienceRegularly tackle large and complex projects in the team, contributing to technical design, implementation and releaseOptimize and maintain existing codebase to enhance performance and scalability.Routinely tackle complex architectural challenges and apply our architectural standardsIntegrate with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others, to build scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.Work with Linux-based environments, deploying, configuring, and managing web applications on servers.Develop and maintain automated scripts for deployment, testing, and system administration tasks.Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner.Stay up-to-date with the latest PHP and backend development trends, tools, and technologiesContribute to projects involving Go (Golang) as neededContribute to the ongoing learning and success of the team and the company, by sharing knowledge through mentorship, collaboration, and aiding in documentation

What we're looking for

You care deeply and genuinely about building great products and the role it plays in making our company and customers successfulYou have proven experience as a PHP Backend Developer, with a strong understanding of PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Symfony, & CodeIgniter)Experience with writing unit testing using frameworks (e.g. PHPUnit)Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.Proficiency in Linux environments and server administration.Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, & Perl)Familiarity with SQL databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL)Experience with version control systems, especially GitFamiliarity with front-end technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, & JavaScript)You have experience building large-scale, web-based enterprise softwareStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.You have an excellent attention to detail and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.You possess strong communication skills, and can build and articulate a strong technical vision for your product
