Heirloom Developer

Job title: Heirloom Engineer Role is remote, but the preference is to have the candidate based in east coast. Years of experience required: 8+ Job Requirements: 1. Candidate needs to have at least 8+ years of software development experience. 2. Candidate should have completed a bachelors degree in software engineering or related field. 3. Should possess end to end understanding of the Heirloom tool, its features and hands on development utilizing the tool for multiple mainframe modernizations. 4. Experience utilizing Heirloom for converting CICS screens, CICS back end transactions and IBM transaction gateway routing. 5. Good understanding of the input requirements for heirloom assessments and conversion and understanding of the compiled outputs from heirloom. 6. Experience deploying the heirloom converted applications and its dependencies, and configuring required parameters to access database (DB2 LUW on Linux) on on-prem and AWS environments. 7. Ability to understand the compiled Java code and recommend how to implement external integrations like DB, external applications on Microfocus Cobol, iSAM file access, etc. 8. Experience in troubleshooting issues in the converted Java application/code and gaps in compilation. 9. Ability to suggest options to standardize converted code to adhere to spring boot framework would be good to have.
