Electronic Data Interchange Developer

Overview The position is responsible for the analysis, development, design, implementation, and support of EDI processes, and applications. This position will provide technical support for existing EDI processes and systems, including DMEDI (primary), The EDI Developer will help coach the development team and recommend best practices.This position will report to the EDI Manager, working side by side with the EDI team and our trading partners to develop mapping and translation details, and manage partner connectivity. Daily activities include setting up new integrations, monitoring document transmissions, researching, and analyzing problems, correcting translation errors, and reprocessing EDI transactions, identifying opportunities to improve relevant processes.

Responsibilities and Duties• Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and support new EDI integrations using DMEDI • Create and maintain interfaces between back-end applications and EDI systems• Design and maintain all EDI maps to ensure compliance to business requirements• Support with EDI-related issues & incidents, researching, analyzing, and resolving problems• Work with the EDI Lead Developer and EDI partners to resolve any operational issues• Analyze current EDI implementation to make recommendations for improvements• Create and maintain detailed documentation and process flows for all EDI integrations• Provide status updates on all assigned tasks and integrations on a regular basis

Qualifications • BS in computer science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent • Five years’ experience with EDI in the retail or food industry• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn modern technologies and processes quickly• Strong verbal and oral communication skills and a positive can-do attitude required• Experience developing maps; exposure to Data Mason DMEDI and Vantage Point necessary• Strong XML, ANSI X12, flat file, CSV mapping experience• Strong knowledge of industry standards supporting EDI transactions: 850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 812, 860, 864, 824, 816 and 997• Strong experience working with ERP D365F&SCM a must• Strong experience setting up connections with trading partners such as AS2, AS3, SFTP, and FTP• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server • Development or scripting background with languages like C#, .NET, Node.js, Java, shell, and Python• Demonstrates accuracy and diligence
