About The Team

As a Lead Engineer on the Billing and Funding Team, you'll play a pivotal role in the Worldpay engineering organization by developing core versions of software applications purchased by our external clients.

What You Will Be Doing

Develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients Identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives Interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software Train and communicate with clients on systems application

What You Bring

A strong Engineering background with experience in designing and building highly scalable, loosely coupled, event driven, distributed systems You need to be an expert in writing web-applications, using Java, Spring and database persistence Experience of building production applications using Angular, gRPC, AWS and Fargate would be beneficial You should be capable of leading by example and establishing industry best practice across all functions of the team including software development, TDD/BDD, DevOps & cloud Experience of leading change and establishing engineering best practice in technical teams Demonstrated accountability for a production service having contributed to the service build Knowledgeable on BDD / TDD practices Design/Architecture Knowledgeable on Microservice Architecture Knowledge on current technology architectures and approaches such as Event Driven Design, Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing & CQRS Technical

Technical Skills (Must Have)

Experience building enterprise applications using Java and Scala Knowledge in Functional programming using Java 8 or Scala Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) Experience with Apache Ecosystem, including Spark and Hadoop. Knowledgeable on DevOps best practices, technologies and tools (Ansible, terraform) having worked with these in the past

Technical Skills (Desired But Not Mandatory)

Kafka Experience of building web-applications in the cloud (AWS) Knowledge of Fargate, EKS, EC2, EMR

The pay range for this full-time position is $123,810.00 - $207,980.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
