Test Developer

Position overviewWe are looking for a Test Developer to join us in a dynamic project in collaboration with our esteemed client—a multinational professional services brand of firms, ranking as the second-largest professional services network globally and recognized as one of the Big Four accounting firms. In this role, you will be part of Secure Configuration Engine Development team (SCE) responsible to create and update (maintain) the automation backend project.

About the projectThe application uses a microservice architecture and is written in Java (Spring Boot), leverages CosmosDB for data storage, and is deployed into Microsoft Azure Kubernetes clusters.

ResponsibilitiesHelp the team to adapt an automated testing approach that runs tests automatically with every build to enable continuous delivery and deployment.Investigate complex problems and write automation systems to perform application validation.

RequirementsAt least 3 years of work experience in software development lifecycle and software testing methodologies, with at least 2 years of working experience in CI/CD environments and developing applications or tools using programming and scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or equivalent.Previous experience in the software development lifecycle and software testing methodologies, including the following areas:Software testing methods, such as functional testing, stress testing, performance/load testing, and failure injection;Continuous Integration/deployment, functional, smoke, regression testing, etc.;TDD (Test-driven development) or BDD (Behavior Driven Development) in an agile environment; andCoding standards, code reviews, code refactoring, design patternsPrevious experience in software development lifecycle and software testing methodologies, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including, in the following areas:Working in CI/CD environments;Developing applications or tools using programming and scripting languages like Java, JavaScript, Python, or equivalent;Understanding of tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, SpecFlow/FitNesse, and Selenium WebDriver; andInvestigating complex problems and writing automation systems to perform application validationExcellent English skills (written and spoken);Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Telecommunications.
