Wordpress Developer

Overview:We seek a talented and motivated Mid-Level Wordpress Developer to join our client's creative department. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating innovative, interactive, and user-friendly websites and should be highly proficient in WordPress theme development. This role will report to the Creative Director and collaborate with the team to create, build, and maintain websites for our clients.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain WordPress websites using best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define project requirementsCustomize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specificationsImplement responsive design principles to ensure optimal user experience across devicesIntegrate APIs and third-party services into WordPress websitesTroubleshoot and debug issues related to website functionality and performanceOptimize website speed and performance through caching, minification, and other techniquesWorking with the Project Manager to develop multiple projects at different stages, concurrently.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web developmentRequirements:5+ years of experience programming in WordPress development, with a sample portfolio of sites you have built and sample code we can review.Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. A plus if you have experience with JS animation libraries such as Greensock.Familiarity with PHP programming language and MVC frameworksKnowledge of database management using MySQLExperience working with version control systemsUnderstanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first developmentExperience with custom theme and plugin developmentThorough understanding of website performance optimization techniquesExperience:Expert: WordPress and Front-end development (CSS, JS)Fluent: PHP, DB management, version control, responsive designCapable: Custom theme and plugin development
