We are helping our client secure a new frontend developer for their team as they move to replace consultants over the next 2 years.

Currently, the development team has been outsourced, with the existing consultants taking care of the MVP launch, with the following 6 months being focused on beginning to build an in-house team. They use 60 AWS services currently.

The existing development team comprises 10 developers (product owners, scrum master, architect/tech lead, devices and developers, backend developers, a designer, and one tester). They have a project manager and a few additional specialists outside of the Scrum Team.

On the organizational side, all the new hires will report to the technical lead who has additional support from the HR team. There is a separate DevOps Team too. Much of the team is remote but are all expected to travel occasionally to the office. The consultants that are involved have very light interaction here, and only help when needed.

Our client is a leading provider of automated drug dispensing services in Europe, and their unique service offers professional home care organizations significant quality and cost benefits.

The service is there to ensure that home care customers receive the right medication at the right time and in the right dose automatically, which helps to improve the quality of medical care and support independent home living.

They currently employ over 300 employees in the Nordics, as well as in the Netherlands, allowing them to serve tens of thousand of users every day. The head office is in Helsinki, with most of the operations and production being carried out in Salo.

Requirements:A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Frontend DeveloperReactJavaScriptTypeScriptPythonAWS

Medical device background is considered an advantage.Mobile application development is also considered a huge bonus – preferably Android (Kotlin, Java, JVM)

Although this role is mostly remote, those located outside of Finland will not be considered.There is an expectation that you will be able to visit the office when required, once monthly for sprints/kickoffs will be the main requirement here, with some additional times asked for company events.
