Senior Golang Developer

This is a contract position for those based in Brazil - the initial contract is until the end of 2024, with the potential to be extended.

Nearform, a global tech consultancy that specializes in building & designing digital products for enterprises, is actively hiring for a Senior Engineer who specializes in Go. You will join an existing team that needs additional support building state-of-the-art services for a leading commerce company. We’re looking for a person dedicated to shipping quality code that is performant and reliable.

What do we expect from a Senior Engineer? As a Senior Engineer at NearForm, you will play an important role in the development process. Our ideal candidate will be proactive and a good communicator who wants to build things right the first time. We are looking for a Senior Engineer who can help our existing team within an enterprise client deliver quality work on time. You will be responsible for developing and iterating on a complex variety of shared tools used across multiple teams at scale.

What we are looking for: Experience in building and improving Golang HTTP services with libraries like Gin, sqlx, and testifyExperience with complex PostgreSQL query creation and performance optimizationExperience integrating with third-party APIs & two-way syncingExperience with Event sourcing (with CQRS) using downstream event handlers to build projections or queriesExperience with AWS EKS (Kubernetes), DynamoDB, Lambda, Kinesis, SQS Production experience with Terraform configuration and CircleCI build pipelines

Essential Skills7+ years of experience in professional software engineeringExpert understanding of data architecture and design principles Familiarity with Golang and best practices for reliability
