Solo Cross-Platform Mobile Developer (React Native/Expo)

Job Description:We are on the lookout for a skilled and self-motivated Solo Cross-Platform Mobile Developer to spearhead the development of a new mobile application. This role is ideal for someone adept in both iOS and Android app development using React Native and Expo. As the sole developer on this project, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the development process from the ground up, bringing your vision and expertise directly to the forefront of our mobile strategy.

Key Responsibilities:Full-Cycle Development:Independently handle the entire development lifecycle of the mobile application for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native and Expo.Design user interfaces and implement functionalities based on project requirements.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.Testing and Optimization:Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix bugs.Optimize the application for maximum speed, efficiency, and scalability.Regularly update the application to incorporate new features and address any issues.Project Management:Manage project timelines and milestones, ensuring timely delivery of a fully functional mobile app.Maintain clear documentation throughout the development process.Proactively identify challenges and develop effective solutions.Continuous Learning and Improvement:Stay updated with the latest industry trends in mobile development, especially related to React Native and Expo.Experiment with new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to continually improve the app's functionality and user experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in mobile application development, specifically using React Native and Expo.Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.Understanding of React Native best practices and a commitment to following them.Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities and deadlines.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

Preferred Skills:Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications.Understanding of iOS and Android design principles and interface guidelines.Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git.
