Role Description:This is a mid-level parttime contract for Frontend Engineer role at Read Global Consultants at a remote contract capacity, with potential fulltime opportunities in the future. As a Frontend Engineer, you will have fantastic opportunities for developing and maintaining UI designs, UX prototypes and developing the frontend for our web applications. You’ll be collaborating with other frontend, backend, full-stack engineers, cloud engineers, database engineers, and others to create and maintain cutting-edge solutions, as well as troubleshooting and resolving complex issues within existing applications.

Note: Mid-level engineers are encouraged to apply, as our compensation package is tailored towards mid-level part-time engineers.

Key Responsibilities:Design/Redesign the UI of our existing and future web applications,Create comprehensive UX flows and prototypes based on UI designs,Working extensively with Figma, and other similar professional design tools,Work extensively with Next.js (TypeScript based) to develop frontends according to the UI/UX designs,Work closely with tech/non-tech stakeholders to understand their web development needs, emphasizing UI/UX and frontend requirements effectively,Collaborate within a dynamic team of engineers/developers and communicate effectively with English-speaking client

Key Qualifications (Must have):Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related fields,Strong understanding of Design fundamentals (e.g. UI, UX, prototyping, etc.),Strong understanding of frontend in Next.js, React.js, Tailwind CSS, etc.,Minimum 1 year of work experience in UI/UX,Minimum 3 year of work experience in frontend development using Next.js,Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to work with English speaking clients and in a team environment, when needed,Adept at troubleshooting and solving complex problems

Additional Qualifications (Optional):Certifications in relevant technologiesGood understanding of older frontend technologies, such as Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.,Basic understanding of containerization technologies e.g. Docker,
