We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Application Engineer to head-up an exciting project with the support of our Product and Engineering Managers. This is a great opportunity to apply your experience in contributing towards building and shipping high quality mobile applications to a greenfield project.
The successful candidate will have an incredible opportunity and autonomy to redesign and rebuild our existing mobile application and take it to the next level. You’ll be collaborating with our other Senior Engineers to design and specify the technical requirements for the project, hire engineers around them to work on the project and finally ship the app to our target audience.You’ll work closely with the Team manager and Product manager, helping define technical initiatives and best practices and ensure work is achieved with a high level of care and attention to detail.
Alongside this, we’ll look to you to;Oversee the development of a brand-new mobile application, guiding the mobile dev team to deliver work that directly aligns with and contributes to our product strategyDefine the technical requirements for the implementation of new software solutionsDefine the technical aspects of the application solution architecture, including the technology used, methodology followed, and devices/platforms targetedDesign and develop detailed architectures and interfaces to integrate with our core APIs and systems.

The successful person will need to hold a deep knowledge of iOS, Android and Javascript/Typescript/ReactNative and mobile app development. In addition, we’re looking for someone with:The ability to participate in deep technical discussions within a small team of engineers to architect a new green-field applicationExcellent communication skills, with an ability to relay complex technical information to non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrable experience as part of a team building a single product or platform (SaaS, native etc.)Prior experience shipping mobile applications through the Google Play Store and iOS App Store and are familiar with their individual requirements and testing workflowsContinuous desire to improve your own knowledge of work areas and embrace the agile framework of and aim to reach full agility with continuous integration, delivery and deploymentStrong experience in leading and overseeing software development during full technical lifecycles, confidently navigating updates, additions and timelines without compromising code qualityPossess a diverse and adaptable mindset, with good understanding of scale-up or start-up working environments.
