Job DescriptionSnowflake/Talend – ETL Developer in Data Engineering is a key role for BI development activities required to enable Business Intelligence solutions for VS&Co.

Responsibilities will include providing technical solutions to complex business requirements through innovative data architecture design and data services solutions. This role requires hands-on experience in data warehouse, business intelligence, Data modeling, ETL, Snowflake, Cloud technologies and data services development using SQL, techniques, and architecture. This role will interface and work in collaboration with a highly talented, energetic and diverse BI team and other cross functional (POS, finance, manufacturing, enterprise planning, HRMS, Supply-Chain and several other systems) teams to devise end-to-end solutions.

ResponsibilitiesDesign & develop data flows, data models & data warehouses / data solutionsCollaborate with report developers to source relevant data and build solution to support development of dashboards / reportsProvide user support including incident management, data issues & maintenance of daily / weekly data refresh schedules & on-call responsibilities to meet business SLA’sDeliver required documentation for build and support responsibilities, including architecture and data flow diagrams

Qualifications - EducationRequired: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Mathematics/SciencesPreferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems

Qualifications - Required SkillsMust have5 to 8 Years of extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for a medium to large scale Datawarehouse.Experience in performing end to end implementation of Snowflake cloud data warehouse, should have2+ years of experience in medium to large Snowflake project implement.Proficiency with SnowSQL and able to write complex SQLs and stored procedures.Ability to fine tune queries for performance improvement.Experience in utilizing various features such as time travel, data sharing, events, Snow Pipe, Streams etc.Experience on any cloud technology such as Azure, AWS or GCP.Hands on experience with any of the ETL tools such as Talend, DataStage etc.Must have experience with strong UNIX shell scripting.Must demonstrate best practices for SQL tunning and ETL development.Participate in design reviews, code reviews, unit testing and integration testing.SDLC Methodology (Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development).Knowledge of Kafka, Python or Java is an added advantage.Snow-pro certification is an added advantage.
