Spark and Scala Developer

Requirements: • 5+ years of Big Data development experience • 5+ years of work with big data technologies such as Spark, and/or Scala ◦ Experience coding within Pyspark or Python or Java • Extensive experience provisioning, maintaining, and supporting big data pipelines • Extensive AWS experience with multiple different services including EMR and Lambda etc. • DevOps background and experience deploying Data Pipelines to the cloud. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information SystemsDesired: • FinTech experience • Network/Security experience • Applicable CertificationsResponsibilities: • Understand stakeholder needs to best design and develop data pipelines using the most efficient and effective architectural elements • Analyze and improve data model designs for existing databases/pipelines • Spark Development and implementation. • Work in a collaborative team environment • Help to migrate code from development environments into production environments with a focus on performance tuning • Stay up to date on the latest emerging technologies and industry trends to best help the future implementation decisions
