Job Description

We are a multicultural distributed team working for one of the largest brokerage companies in North America. Our team is responsible for the development of native iOS and Android apps aimed at providing the best trading experience on mobile to thousands of users daily. The project is fairly large involving more than 100 colleagues from different competencies, including a mobile team consisting of 15+ developers. Together, we develop a software platform that consists of several components, using a variety of technologies.We are looking for an inquisitive and responsible colleague, who is not afraid of challenges, who takes pride in figuring out difficult problems and learning new things.What You'll DoDevelop a state-of-the-art native mobile app in UIKit and SwiftUIDiscuss and align best practices with other developers on the teamCollaborate with colleagues to tackle complex issues and find the best solutionCollaborate with designers and business analysts to clarify requirementsInvestigate performance issues and improve UI responsivenessAutomate repetitive tasks through Continuous Integration to improve efficiencyImplement new features as well as maintain existing functionalityShare your expertise during code review activities and refinement sessionsTech StackPrimary: Swift, RxSwift, UIKit, SwiftUIAdditional: Objective-C, j2objc, Cocoapods, SPMTools: Xcode Instruments, Git, Jira, BitBucket, TeamCity

Qualifications

Must-HaveMastery of Swift, with a strong grasp of memory management and concurrencyReactive Programming experience using RxSwift or CombineSolid experience with programmatic UI implementationsAbility to understand and work with Objective-C codeUnderstanding Swift-Objective-C interoperabilityStrong understanding of data structures, OOP, FP, SOLID principles3+ years of professional experience in Software DevelopmentInterest in the financial markets domainAnalytical and problem-solving skillsFluent English (B2+ level)Good to HaveBackground in Computer ScienceKnowledge of Computer Networks and network protocols (TCP, Websockets)Familiarity with CI tools such as TeamCity, bundler, fastlaneKnowledge of Shell script and RubyExperience with Java/Kotlin and MavenExperience in server-side or full-stack developmentExperience working in large-scale projectsExperience in trading and capital marketsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
