Senior Liferay Front End Developer

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Liferay Front End Developer to join our newly established offshore development center in Cochin. With a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in business or technology, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering high-performance and responsive web applications using Liferay and frontend web technologies. As a Senior Liferay Front End Developer, you will contribute to all development lifecycle phases, ensuring the production of well-designed, testable, and efficient code that complies with specifications.

What will you do? Design and develop web applications using React and hosted on Liferay DXP to deliver high-performance and responsive solutions.Extend the user experience within Liferay DXP through the use of templates, and extensionsCollaborate with the professional services team, UX, and project teams to help develop solutions.Guide other engineers on front-end development approaches and techniques.Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to implementation and testing.Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code with a keen focus on quality and performance.Ensure that designs comply with specifications and industry best practices.Prepare and produce releases of software components, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.Collaborate effectively in a team environment, fostering communication and knowledge-sharing.Work closely with our global technology partner to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients.Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to successfully deliver projects on time.

What do you need to succeed? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution.At least 4 years of Web application development experience using ReactSolid understanding of state management, routing, form handling, hooks, functional components, and the techniques and libraries commonly used in these areas.Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript including familiarity with newer versions of EcmaScript.Strong knowledge of modern web development tools such as npm, yarn, webpack, gulp, and eslint.Experience implementing external facing applications including responsive, accessible, performant implementations.Experience integrating with REST based web services. Experience with server side templating languages such as Freemarker.Familiar with source control management tools such as git along with project management and issue tracking tools like Azure DevOps and Jira.Familiar with other advanced front end frameworks such as angular or vue.jsAbility to translate business requirements into technical specifications.Proficiency in code management tools, automated build setup, and deployment procedures.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Self-motivated, creative, and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with Liferay DXP including implementing themes and templates.Experience working with other Digital Experience Platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Acquia, or Salesforce Experience Cloud.Experience integrating Liferay with external applications such as Salesforce, SharePoint, ERP, CRM, custom applications or third party systems.
