Senior Lead Android Developer

Salary: up to 5 000 EUR gross

A company developing a full range of digital biometric identity products is looking for a Lead Android Developer.

The team has already provided digital IDs to over 100 million citizens in countries that truly need this technology, such as Ghana, Tanzania, and Mozambique. And that’s only the beginning! More people will get access to biometric registration, fostering fair national elections and other democracy-advancing benefits.

The company operates worldwide, with offices in Europe, Africa and the USA. You are offered a job in the Netherlands office in the city of Hague.

Your tasks:Get a deep understanding of the current platform and application implementation and its benefits and pitfalls.Implement short term, non-invasive improvements and work on strategic enhancements for future releases.Lead a team of 2-3 Android developers and take full responsibility for tight delivery schedules.Design and implement project specific extensions and provide the path to bring them to the core stack.Diagnose and resolve production impacting issues and maintain the code as needed.Foster a team culture where people value open and honest feedback, as well as taking over full ownership.Requirements:5+ years of hands-on experience in Android based solutions and application architecture2+ years of leadership / technical advisory experience“Hard-core” knowledge of Android current and previous versions (currently supported versions are as old as Android 8), expert JAVA, SQL databases on small devices, JSON, XML etc.Experiences with the entire software development lifecycle, including source code version/management (SVN,GIT), build process, testing, and code release.English C1+Will be a plus:Knowledge of FrenchExperience in embedded software development/designExperience in providing solutions to emerging countries.Passion for sharing and tutoring young developers in the start of their career.IoS experienceBenefits:Salary up to 5 000 EUR gross, according to your skills and experiencePension scheme, bonus, travel reimbursementLaptop and phone providedAn ambitious team of software developers whose goal is to create reliable, high-tech softwareTravel to clients in Africa if you want to participate in customer support
