We are the FIS Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable team, and our mission is to modernize & expand FIS’s core AP & AR enterprise applications. We are already recognized as an industry leader for Order-to-Cash, utilizing ML and AI for intelligent automation, and Accounts Payable optimization using Virtual Cards, but we’re not stopping there. We are part of the Embedded Finance vertical, and we are building new features for our customers, accelerating time-to-value, and unlocking AP & AR services for the larger FinTech platform, to enable developers across all verticals to easily consume our services.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Partner closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to fully understand the feature and product vision and provide engineering feedbackWrite high quality code and create design artifacts for large scale production systemsBuild secure, robust, scalable, and performant systems for processing transactions and managing customer data, using event/message driven architectureDesign elegant API interfaces and domain models to provide consistency across upstream and downstream integrationsEstimate project timelines, ensuring that projects you own stay on track and escalating as neededSet and maintain high standards of technical excellence across the teamEstimate project timelines, ensuring that projects you own stay on track and escalating as neededMentor junior engineers and help hire new talent to build a stronger team
Qualifications
4+ years of relevant technical experience in software development roles using Java and PostgreSQLBachelor’s degree in computer science or directly related fieldExperience leading projects from architectural design to production, while setting and maintaining high standards of technical excellence across your teamStrong communication and collaboration skills, and a history of working effectively with your team and cross-functional stakeholdersExperience or interest in building FinTech, payment, or banking systems
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years software engineering work experience5+ years of experience working on high scale or high stakes production software2+ years of experience working with service mesh architectures on major Cloud providers like AWS/Azure/GCP 2+ years of experience in building FinTech, payment, or banking systemsExperience in optimizing database performance by fine-tuning queries, indexing strategies and database configuration on PostgreSQLExperience designing and implementing APIs for third-party developersExperience integrating third-party vendor solutions into backend systems

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $113,320.00 - $190,370.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
