We are looking for a remote Lead C++ Developer to join our team. As part of the team, you will be responsible for developing new features, improving automation, increasing reliability, and improving observability. You will work closely with the client and server teams to create new features for the game. Additionally, you will collaborate with the web and community teams to create new features.

As an experienced Lead C++ Developer, you will have advanced knowledge of memory management, object-oriented programming, and memory issues troubleshooting. You should also have experience with multithreaded programming, network programming, and advanced debugging skills. Experience with game engines and platforms such as Essence, Unreal, Xbox console development, and Steam development is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop new features and improve automation for game clients and serversCollaborate with cross-functional teams to create new features for the gameEnsure reliability and improve observability for the gameLead code reviews and ensure code qualityIdentify and troubleshoot memory issues and use static analysis tools such as Windbg, Dr memory, and ValgrindUse multithreaded programming and network programming skills to optimize game performanceProvide mentorship and guidance to junior developers

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience working with C++Advanced knowledge in C++ core, memory management, and OOPExperience with network protocols Experience with game engines (preferably Essence, Unreal)Experience with Git, Perforce, CMake, and Visual StudioProficiency with Memory issues troubleshooting (dynamic memory)Experience working with web socketsFamiliarity with Static analysis tools (Windbg, Dr memory, Valgrind, etc)Experience with Multithreaded programmingStrong leadership and project management skills with 1+ year of relevant leadership experienceExcellent communication and collaboration skillsFluent in English with an Upper-Intermediate level of proficiency

Nice to have

Experience in C++ in Windows-only environments
