About The Role: Senior Backend EngineerAs a Senior Backend Engineer (Contractor) at Sameday.AI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our backend services, which are crucial for delivering seamless, real-time AI-powered sales agent solutions to our clients worldwide. Your expertise will drive the evolution of our backend architecture, influencing both the strategic direction and the technical innovations that maintain our market leadership.

What You'll Do:Design and implement robust backend services using Python, with frameworks and tools such as FastAPI, Pydantic, Beanie, and MongoDB.Lead the architecture discussions and decisions, ensuring scalability and performance in all backend operations.Develop and maintain APIs, data models, and business logic that power our AI-driven platforms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user feedback into the development lifecycle, enhancing product functionality and user experience.Mentor junior engineers and advocate for best practices in backend development and code excellence.

Qualifications:7+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a proven track record of building scalable distributed systems.Expertise in Python and familiarity with its ecosystem, including frameworks like FastAPI, and tools like Pydantic and MongoDB.Strong foundation in computer science, with excellent problem-solving abilities.Experience in working with cloud services, preferably AWS.A commitment to high-quality coding and an enthusiasm for solving complex technical challenges.
