Senior Developer

Above the Treeline, Inc., a certified Great Place to Work, is looking for a Senior Software Developer with 5 to 7 years of professional development experience to join our team. This role has greater level of decision-making authority and will help lead and mentor other software developers. Some specific tasks and responsibilities of a senior software engineer include:

Analyzing user needs and requirements to design, develop and maintain software solutionsThis includes developing and maintaining ETL processes, ensuring data integrity and consistency across various data sourcesWriting, testing, and maintaining code written in C#, VB.NET and JavaScript (vanilla and ReactJS)Debugging and troubleshooting existing software systemsReviewing code written by other engineers and providing feedback and guidanceLeading the design and development of complex software systems and applicationsCollaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure that the software meets the desired level of quality and reliabilityMentoring and guiding other software engineers on the teamParticipating in testing and quality assurance activities, to ensure that the software meets the desired level of quality, reliability, and performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements and implement efficient solutions that meet business needsOptimize and troubleshoot existing data pipelines to ensure high performance, reliability, and data qualityImplement best practices for data security, compliance, and privacy in all data-related processesStay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for continuous improvement

Requirements

5-7 years of development experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fieldExtensive experience with the Microsoft .NET (Framework and/or Core)Extensive experience with Microsoft ASP.NET (Web Forms, MVC, and Web API)Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL ServerExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaborate in a team environment as neededStrong understanding of data modeling and database design principlesFamiliarity with cloud-based data storage solutions and servicesEffective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersExcellent ability to mentor less experienced team members in all facets of development such as coding, communication, time management, etc.Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
