Responsibilities:
As the first full-time developer on the team, you will be responsible for building the MVP of our product, DiscoLink (https://disco.link/). Your primary responsibility will be turning Figma designs, user interview notes, and product goals into features for our first set of beta users, and helping to create a product that helps people generate revenue through multiple streams of income.
Your job will also include figuring out what to build by talking to users, prioritizing features, and determining the fastest way to test and experiment. Your startup experience will be imperative as we need to move fast, do what’s necessary, learn, and then make the product better. Make it work, make it right, make it fast is the order we work in, and the “make it work” part in these early days is most important.
You should enjoy pair programming and will be collaborating closely with Saron, the founder who’s built the product so far. You should enjoy talking to users and incorporating their feedback into product decisions. You should be comfortable developing in a startup environment, knowing when to cut corners to get a feature out the door and when to move slow and do it right. Bonus points if you use Vim. We encourage you to embrace AI in your workflow without still being responsible for any AI-generated code.
You can check out the landing page for DiscoLink (https://disco.link/) as well as the DiscoLink of our first user (https://disco.link/nadia).

The Disco team is small but mighty. You’ll be working directly with the founder and CEO, Saron Yitbarek, who’s also a developer, along with our Head of Growth and Community. You might also collaborate and get feedback from our community’s Growth and Accountability Coach.
