Volunteer Software Developer

TheITApprentice.com is seeking passionate and skilled volunteers to contribute to our growing IT Apprentice Toolkit and Open-Source Initiatives. As a Volunteer Software Developer & Project Lead, you will have the opportunity to work on and lead your own innovative projects aimed at providing beneficial tooling and free community resources to our audience.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our team and leverage the latest AI tooling (provided by us) to develop cutting-edge solutions that empower IT apprentices and professionals alike. We are committed to creating more valuable content for our platform by developing useful tools, scripts, and other resources that address real-world challenges faced by the IT community.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and experience:

Proven experience working with LDAP and OpenAuth, as well as Azure AD authentication.Proficiency in web development using Node.js, Vue, React, or similar frameworks.Strong skills in Python for both web development and application development.Expertise in C# and Windows Forms .NET development.Experience in creating WordPress plugins using PHP and related technologies.A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a portfolio of successful projects.
