Contract Type: Long-term contract with a major client in Minnesota

Duration: Approximately 6 months, with a potential extension to 1 year

About the Role:VALERE Consulting and Recruiting seeks a skilled Terraform/IaC Developer to join our client's team. This role involves performing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development under the guidance of our principal software engineer, who leads our technical strategy on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). While we are building a team of IaC programmers, this position is crucial for immediate project needs.

Key Responsibilities:IaC Development:Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.Collaborate with the principal software engineer to align with the technical strategy on GCP.Technical Support:Provide IT support for both vended and custom applications.Resolve highly complex issues and assist with data security, redundancy, and support in collaboration with senior technical staff.Issue Resolution:Conduct root-cause analysis by researching hardware and software issues.Work with colleagues and customers to resolve issues, document solutions, and communicate resolutions effectively.System Maintenance:Regularly review and update applications to ensure currency and functionality.Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom system software.Documentation:Produce and maintain documentation such as system requirements, designs, resource inventories, and plans as requested.Collaboration:Interface routinely with colleagues across various locations to perform job responsibilities requiring virtual collaboration and partnership.On-Call Support:May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Required Experience and Skills:Technical Skills:Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development.Strong preference for experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).IT Support:Experience providing IT support for vended and custom applications, resolving complex issues, and assisting with data security.Analytical Skills:Ability to conduct root-cause analysis and resolve hardware and software problems.System Management:Experience in reviewing and updating applications and maintaining custom system software.Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of experience ORAssociate's degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience
