One of our four portfolio companies, Leadpages is a platform that makes it easy for marketing agencies & teams to build no-code websites and landing pages. With built-in lead generation and digital marketing tools, small businesses and entrepreneurs can grow their businesses online by easily generating leads and converting them into customers. What does a day look like in my role?Full Stack Developers at Leadpages have skills on both sides of our technology stack. Based on the task at hand, they may be contributing to an API or Python-based microservice, or they may be writing React/Javascript applications and contributing to a collection of shared libraries. They may also be responsible for codebases in other languages or stacks, giving further opportunity to build on their professional experience.

They are expected to be able to take on tasks and stories and drive them to completion, collaborating with the product and marketing teams to ensure stakeholder needs are met.

As a Full Stack Developer at Leadpages, you will have the opportunity to build, develop and test features for our SaaS applications used by thousands of users. Our engineers are experts in their craft and are always striving to improve and develop new skills. You will work both on a team of engineers for large projects, and solo for bugs and smaller tasks.

*We are open to hiring in both Canada and the US and if you are located in Minneapolis MN, or Victoria BC, that is an added bonus but is not required.

This is what you need to know: As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll be responsible for:Developing new features and functionalityProblem-solving bugs and implementing fixesHelping to estimate the effort of engineering tasksEnsuring your code is well tested, programmatically and manuallyParticipating in daily/weekly meetingsDebugging and fixing production issuesMaintaining and supporting existing software products and servicesCoordinating and collaborating with other developers and teamsPromoting best practices for software development and securityConducting code reviewsTesting changes to our software to ensure a high level of qualityProviding technical assistance to our customer success team

After 1 weekYou will be onboarded with the engineering team, have meet your fellow team members and gotten a sense of how you fit within the companyYou will be introduced to our applications and reposYou have an understanding of the software we build and are starting to familiarize yourself with the development process

After 1 monthYou will understand the product roadmap and where you fit into itYou will have completed a number of bugs and stories and shipped code to ProductionYou are becoming very familiar with the development process and are feeling comfortable in it

After 6 monthsYou will have a clear understanding of the full breadth of our application and tech stackYou have coordinated with other developers and teams on several projectsYou are feeling very productive and are hungry to contribute and learn more

What we would like to see in you:4+ years of professional experience as a full-stack or front-end developer3+ years of professional experience working with JS and libraries such as React1+ years of experience building/developing Python applications Real-world experience with cloud platforms, containers and KubernetesBachelors or advanced degree in IT, computer science, engineering, business, design, human-computer interaction or related field or equivalent work experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelinesExperience working in dynamic development environments that require code reviewsExperience with SaaS development, especially in an Onboarding/Marketing settingExperience with deploying services on GCP
