About the Mission You Will Join:

TSA FAST’s mission is to provide full service, enterprise-focused applications development capabilities where IT services are delivered through state-of-the-art, service- enabled IT software systems and dynamic computing environments. Through the Office of Information Technology (OIT) provide portable, reusable, and interoperable business-driven solutions to support the greater mission of TSA. VMD will support this initiative with helping in areas of Application Development, Production Support, After hours support, Program Management, Design, Architecture and continuous process improvement.

Your Impact to the Mission:

Lead the development efforts for multiple internal mission solutions, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code. Develop full-stack solutions using C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python. Apply cloud engineering skills with AWS to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions. Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and best practices. Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for our projects. Contribute to building prototypes and repeatable solutions to accelerate and enhance development efficiency and product quality.

Experience Needed to Be Successful:

8 years of overall software development experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects. Front-end Technology: Expertise in JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, third-party libraries ReactExperience designing and developing REST APIsDevelopment languages: Knowledge of server-side languages: .Net, Java, Ruby, PythonDatabase & Cache: Familiarity with SQL based Databases, specifically PostgreSQL, and caching mechanisms like Redis, Memcached, Varnish. Experience in Linux, cloud engineering and AWS services. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Proven ability to lead technical teams and foster a culture of innovation.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Experience in working or high-level development with, C#, JavaScript, JAVA and Postgres databases. Experience in a scrum style development working with a small team. Experience with different rest APIs and create APIs that others can consume.
