Software Developer (4487)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Software Developer to help our client with a multi-year modernization project, redeveloping their application in Oracle ADF (legacy version uses Oracle Forms).

Responsibilities:

Extracting current business logic implementation from existing Oracle Reports.Rebuilding Oracle Reports in Oracle BI Publisher.Implementing Business logic using SQL & PL/SQL within Database.Establishing design, development guidelines and standards.Conforming to Oracle Database Best Practices / Standards.Understanding business needs for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery.Collaborating with other team members to carry out project requirements and deliverables.Adhering to and providing input for improvement of existing Software Development Life Cycles processes / methodologies & development standards.Ensuring all software aspects of system stability and performance, security and privacy, software monitoring, defect identification and remediation are current and active.Producing technical deliverables like design/technical specifications, code and unit-test.

Requirements:

6+ years of experience as a Software Developer. Experience and understanding of Data Modeling.Expertise and experience with Data Migration using Oracle toolset / database.Expertise with Oracle Forms and Reports with experience in extracting business logic / validation for Workflow documentation.Extensive experience implementing business logic using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Expert with Oracle stored procedures / packages and views with extensive experience in performance tuning.Experience with the PROMIS application/team/data model is an asset.Experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.
