Staff React Developer

We are seeking a highly versatile React Developer with a background in Design Systems and Storybook. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in AEM and in SCSS, Jira, GitHub, and familiar with using tools like GitHub Copilot. This role will involve working on complex projects aimed at enhancing our client ‘s solutions with teams in the UK, Germany, and USA.

What you’ll do at Blueriver:

Develop and Maintain React Applications: Build and maintain high-quality, scalable React applications tailored to the needs of the microscopy industry. Design Systems Implementation: Create and maintain robust design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency across all UI components. Component Development with Storybook: Utilize Storybook for developing and testing UI components in isolation and in user journeys, ensuring they meet design specifications. SCSS Mastery: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable SCSS for styling applications. Collaborative Development: Utilize GitHub for version control and collaboration, and leverage GitHub Copilot or alike to enhance coding efficiency. Project Management: Use Jira for tracking project progress, managing tasks, and collaborating with team members. Code Reviews and Mentorship: Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What we’re looking for:

Extensive Dev Experience: Proven track record of developing complex React applications with 3+ years of experience. Using React Apps, JSON Web Tokens, Storybook for UI component development, SCSS Skills: Advanced knowledge of SCSS and best practices for styling modern web applications. Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using Jira, GitHub, and GitHub Copilot or alike. Design Systems Expertise: Deep understanding of design systems and their implementation. AEM Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Our meetings are camera and voice ON. Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred: Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile development environment. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and best practices. AEM Certification: AEM Certified.
