About The Opportunity

As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for being a primary contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of our software products. You will work closely with your peers to understand customer requirements and translate them into functional software solutions. In this role, you will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

This is a remote role and is eligible for applicants residing in Canada or the US.

Job Duties

Primary contributor of the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirementsIntermediate writing of clean, maintainable, and efficient codeSupport troubleshooting and debugging software issuesSupport code reviews to ensure code qualityCreate and maintain technical documentationKeep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software developmentHave a sphere of influence within a broader product or system

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Intermediate/developing professional expertise of the designing, developing, and maintaining of complex software systemsComplete work within guidelines set by your teammates to address moderate, well-scoped issuesCollaborate with others and build internal and external working relationshipsAbility to work independently with general supervision

Qualifications Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field2-4 years of experience in software engineeringPython and/or GoLang experience is strongly preferredFamiliarity with event-driven systems (we use Kafka)

The base salary range for this position is $110,200 - $122,400 USD for US residents OR $95,900 - $106,600 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
