Senior Software Developer

Job Summary:As part of a team of talented individuals, you would play an important role in designing, developing, and maintaining exciting and responsive software solutions.

Job Description:You will be part of a team working on a range of next generation solutions for public fixed-route transit. You will work on a variety of development tasks in a growing organization and focus on cross-team support of modern web/cloud-based solutions/products. You will participate in cross-functional teamwork such as design reviews, code reviews, documentation, and defining specifications.

As a Senior Software Developer at Trapeze MPS, you will:Lead the design and development of new features, unit and integration tests, bug fixes, and enhancement of existing code.Hands-on involvement in development, design, architecture, and code reviewApply principles and methodologies of scrum agile development practices.Maintain regular communication with other team members and stakeholders to ensure quality and timely product deliveries.Ensure that technical and quality standards are applied throughout the software development lifecycle.Perform daily code reviews for other team members who work on the same project.Document and test to ensure the quality of the completed work requirement.Review and analyze the effectiveness of existing applications and develop strategies to improve the systems in place.Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.

REQUIREMENTS:University degree in Computer Science, Engineering Science or equivalentMust have 5+ Years of experience in front-end web development.An in-depth understanding of Angular 2+/Typescript, RxJS, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS is a must.Knowledge of web components is an asset.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate requirements into technical design.Ability to conduct thorough code reviews and provide valuable feedback to other developers.Experience working with Back-end technologies (.NET/C#, Web APIs) is an asset.Exposure to DevOps – CI/CD processes/frameworks is an asset.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Strong belief in Leadership and accountability.
