UX/UI Developer

About this rolePFF is seeking an experienced UX/UI, Front-End Developer to build the front-end experience at the center of PFF’s newest business and join our growing technical team. You’ll work as part of a cross-disciplinary, agile group to deliver first-class software solutions that help power PFF’s growth in our newest venture. You’re self-motivated, collaborative, and able to operate effectively at every stage of the software development process. Our stack of choice is Elixir, TypeScript, and React with Postgres as the database tier..PFF has offices in Cincinnati, Ohio however this is a full-time and remote position and the candidate must be based in the United States or United Kingdom. Candidates with Elixir and React experience will be fast-tracked.

Essential ResponsibilitiesDesign and Develop modern web applicationsDevelop reusable components using TypeScript and ReactDesign and develop user-friendly user interfaces that are responsive and intuitiveDesign, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software within a project scope ensuring that the work product meets end-user acceptance criteriaManage self-directed assignments to resolve software defects or implement features to meet schedule commitments with a high level of qualityEstimating and scoping development tasks and making recommendations for innovations and improvements relating to software component designs. Includes reviewing the work of team members and completing elements of designAcquire knowledge of industry and company standards, tools, and technology with a focus on pragmatic application to business-focused software solutions through initiative and self-studyCollaborates with back-end developers to integrate UI with dynamic dataWork closely with QA to deliver quality code in an agile environmentDevelops tooling or automated processes to streamline UI developmentFixes bugs or other anomalies discovered in UI codeCreates and maintains documentation of UI code or technical topics/processesTakes initiative to improve upon coding standards, clarify requirements, and seek opportunities for growthInvestigate new technologies, paradigms or designs through rapid prototypingDemonstrate strong interest in technology, self-guided learning approach and awareness of industry trends.Mentor and support colleagues; share knowledge and experience within the team.Skills and ExperienceBS degree with 5+ years of design-related work experienceExperience in responsive and mobile designExperience in accessibility2+ years developing enterprise web applicationsUI design and development using HTML5, CSS3, APIs (REST, JSON) Elixir required Experience using any JavaScript/TypeScript-based frameworksNeed more convincing?Apart from getting to work with our incredible team, here are some of the benefits you can expect when you join PFF:Medical, Dental, & Vision Coverage, with the option to extend to your familyFully-paid parental leaveCompany-sponsored 401kUnlimited vacationWork from home setup allowance
