Datastage Developer

This position is a Remote position to work from on in LATAM working with US clients. You will be working as a consultant directly with clients US Clients.

Title: Datastage Senior Developer

Job Summary:Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement DataStage ETL solutions to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.Data Modeling: Design data models and schemas to support ETL processes and ensure data integrity and consistency.Performance Optimization: Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and efficiency.Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and validation rules to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.Documentation: Create technical documentation including design documents, data mappings, and ETL specifications.Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit testing and system testing of ETL processes, and troubleshoot and debug issues as needed.Deployment and Support: Deploy ETL solutions to production environments and provide ongoing support and maintenance.Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in data integration and ETL technologies, and incorporate them into the design and development process.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, database administrators, and developers to ensure successful implementation of ETL solutions.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience ( 8+) as a DataStage Developer or Architect, with expertise in designing and implementing ETL solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.Strong understanding of data integration concepts and ETL best practices.Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling concepts.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data requirements and design efficient solutions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.Experience with version control systems and deployment tools.Certifications in IBM InfoSphere DataStage or related technologies are a plus.
