Senior Technical Developer

With a focus on delivering high-quality services, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Technical Developer to join our team and lead strategic initiatives that drive the company's success.

Position Overview: As a Senior Technical Developer you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated solutions. Collaborating closely with diverse teams, you'll translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality output. As a Senior member of the team, you will have opportunities to lead initiatives and gain responsibility for areas of the code base.

Responsibilities: Architect, design, develop, and implement code solutions Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into comprehensive technical specifications. Fine-tune and optimize performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and processing. Conduct rigorous unit testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of solutions to maintain accuracy and reliability. Provide expert technical support to end-users, offering training and comprehensive documentation as required.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s or any other higher degree preferred, but not mandatory. Strong command of SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Thorough understanding of data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling. Experience with Java programming and familiarity with web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is advantageous. Extensive experience in developing solutions using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Demonstrated ability with Application Architecture, best practices and systems engineering industry trends. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative settings within a fast-paced environment. 5-7 years experience working on enterprise software platform – preferably in the Financials Services or Life Insurance technology space Desired Skills: Experience with Life Insurance Illustrations, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, or Commissions Systems are desired Solid or in-depth understanding of the insurance industry Ability to learn trending technologies and apply them to business solutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to be self-directed, a good team player and the capacity for effective time management. Ability to clearly communicate to both technical and business teams. Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages. Certified AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect will be preferred, but not mandatory.
