About Plume
Plume provides gender-affirming hormone therapy via telehealth for the trans-community across the United States. Based in Denver, CO, Plume is trans-founded and has received backing from top-tier venture capital. Our mission is to create deeply affirming direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical services for the trans and broader queer community.
About The Role
Plume is looking for an experienced front end developer to assist with the project of migrating our website from a technology stack built upon Wordpress, Gravity Forms, and a host of other Wordpress plugins, to a stack built upon React, Storybook, and Tailwind CSS. Additionally, in the interim, this developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the current site.
What You’ll Do
This candidate will need to have great attention to detail. We are rebasing our website due to the level of fragility being experienced with our current implementation. As this developer will be expected to continue to maintain our current website while performing this migration, they must have an eye for detail - namely that they are motivated to ensure that their work not only meets acceptance criteria, but does not introduce any unexpected behaviors or side effects. They should have an “eyes open” development mentality, as opposed to a narrow mindset. This candidate will be expected to respond to communication received from team members during their work day within that same day, and ideally, in such a manner that near synchronous communication can quickly resolve questions and impediments. Their communication is expected to be informative and efficient. Additionally, they will provide regular updates regarding the status of their work, solicit feedback from other developers and be responsive to that feedback. Availability: The candidate must be comfortable committing to working 40 hours a week. Our standard work day at Plume goes from 9 AM to 5 PM MST. At minimum, the candidate must commit to being fully present at work between the hours of 9 AM - 12 PM MST, with the rest of their work day being more flexible. For individuals who are approx. timezone colocated with MST, they will be expected to maintain a standard cadence of working hours in sync with Plume’s standard work day.
