Company Description

Our company is developing a Phone using android 11. We have a team of Android developers to create basic apps like messaging, gallery, camera, weather, calendar, and some more apps. We need to develop these apps ourselves because our phone has physical buttons. The apps must interact with these buttons, so default Android apps won't work.

Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for an AOSP SystemUI Developer. The AOSP SystemUI Developer will be responsible for developing and customizing the SystemUI components of our Android phone, ensuring compatibility with the physical buttons and functionalities of the device. They will work closely with the Android development team to implement and improve the user interface and user experience of our custom apps.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Java and KotlinExperience with AOSP (Android Open Source Project)Knowledge of Android SystemUI components and customizationFamiliarity with Android development tools and frameworksUnderstanding of Android app architecture and best practicesExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality codeStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldExperience with Android device customization and hardware interactions is a plus "
