Our three Resource Centers (located in Nashville, TN; Boulder, CO; and San Diego, CA) are available for scheduled in-person events or assigned workspaces for those who want to work in the office. Remote team members also have access to flexible space scheduling for occasional use.

Your Role As a HealthStreamer
Position Summary
Design, develop, and maintain the software products offered by HealthStream in accordance with technology best practices and product offerings. Work with team leaders and senior developers to understand and refine requirements. Design and estimate effort of new features or sub-systems from business concept to detailed technical design. Develop quality, defect free software that adheres to company coding and documentation standards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
You will be responsible for adhering to all HeathStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
This position is a non-management development position. Developers in this position will participate as members of a software development team and will have individual development responsibilities across the spectrum of software development for a HealthStream products.

What You Will Need to be Successful
Education, Experience And Knowledge Required
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any discipline), or closely related field of study is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps best practices including CI/CD and automation and associated development. Position also requires demonstrated knowledge of .NET (C#), JavaScript (Node), or Python. Database development experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or similar is preferred; NoSQL experience also helpful.
Skills And Abilities Required
Candidates for this position should have basic knowledge and competence with the following: Scripting and automation in JavaScript, Python or similar .NET (latest), including C# .Net Core 1.x/2.x, ASP.NET Web technologies including HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript Agile Development Process(es) Familiarity with development practices including: Cloud Providers such as AWS DevOps practices and automation Continuous Integration practices Code refactoring Architecture Patterns (Microservice, N-Tier)Data Access Layer Technologies (ORMs, Micro ORMs, etc.) Candidates should demonstrate abilities including: Participation in Agile development methodology, ideally focused on SCRUM or Kanban Strong communication skills including technical writing ability Experience building user interfaces with React. Experience with Tailwind CSS. Familiarity with TypeScript. Knowledge of common frontend development tools, including package managers, linters, and code formatters.
