Software Developer - Remote

As a Software Developer at Agate you'll be a key player in creating innovative tools and custom modules that allow our configuration specialists and clients to tailor our software to meet unique business needs. You'll work in a collaborative environment, tackling challenging problems and ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

Develop User Interfaces: Design and develop high-quality, easy-to-use browser-based user interfacesCustomize Solutions: Create custom modules and solutions to meet the specific needs of our clientsDatabase Management: Write and execute database queries, create and modify stored procedures, functions, and views in T-SQLLegacy Code Conversion: Convert code (SQL, VB.NET, JavaScript, etc.) from legacy systems to work within our new environmentInnovate and Collaborate: Communicate and collaborate with team members to optimize efficiency, consistency, and first-pass qualityDebug and Troubleshoot: Diagnose and debug malfunctions or errors to maintain system integrityEnhance Functionality: Develop tools like SQL Stored Procedures and JavaScript functions to enhance our MVC application

What You'll Bring

Solid object-oriented programming skills with VB.NET, ASP.NET, MVC and ADO.NET in a Windows environment are requiredExperience with Visual Studio, T-SQL/SQL Server, XML, XSL Basic knowledge and understanding of HTML, CSS, & JavaScript Experience with libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, Kendo UI, Knockout.js, and Bootstrap preferred Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems Strong project management and time management skills Interpersonal skills with a keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to small audiences Entity Framework, and LINQ preferred Experience with ADA compliance preferred Experience with mobile development and responsiveness preferred
