Back End Developer

Purpose of the role

To aid our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced back-end focussed Software Engineer to join our cross functional Engineering team. You will have significant involvement in the continual evolution of our products, working collaboratively with the team to improve and develop our truly disruptive SaaS platform.

The role will primarily focus on building our platform back-end services and AWS cloud platform. You will be designing, building and running APIs, integrations and processing pipelines. Through this you will be acquiring customer call recordings, orchestrating analysis and insight, automating and improving business processes and surfacing this to users through secure APIs.

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic person who is keen to help shape an exciting project with huge commercial potential. The successful candidate will be a core part of the Engineering Team helping build our platform across advised services.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate closely with peers in our remote cross functional team of Engineers, Product Owner, UX Designers and NLP EngineersDesign and deliver well tested, robust platform services and pipelinesContribute to the continual improvement of the scalability, security and observability of our platform to support our growing customer baseParticipate in the improvement of the developer experienceExtend our 3rd party system integrations and marketplace offeringsLead technical collaboration and integration with prospective clientsEmbrace team agile practices and contribute to the continual improvement of our processes and engineering culture

What we are looking for:

Experience using Node.js and TypeScript to build robust and secure serverless services and APIsProven experience working with AWS cloud-native services and monitoring toolsCustomer-focused mindset to understand the business objectives and translate these to forward thinking features that will delight our usersAutomation first approach to engineering, testing and delivery with exposure to DevOps principles. We build it, ship it and own itExperience following Agile working practices and contributing to a high performing engineering culturePassion for collaboration, skill sharing and mentoring to raise the skills in the teamIdeally experience working in a multi-tenant SaaS start-up environmentInterest in NLP and Machine learningAs we are a small team, willingness to work across the stack when needed with React experience would be beneficial
