Software Developer

ACT Building Systems is seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our dynamicteam. As a Software Developer, you will work closely with our business analysts and technical teamsto design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. You will havethe opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, leverage the latest technologies, and contribute tothe growth and success of ACT Building Systems as a valued contractor.

This is an initial 6 month contract with possibility for extension. The primary focus for this contractwill be front-end and web based 3D graphics development on one of our key web applications.

Responsibilities: Develop new features for a web-based 3D design application. Collaborate with business analysts, project managers and stakeholders to understandsoftware requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions in accordance with industry bestpractices and ACT Building Systems' coding standards. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions to improvecode quality and maintainability. Troubleshoot and debug software applications, identifying and resolving technical issues in atimely manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, software testers, andproject managers, to ensure successful project delivery. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potentialbenefits for ACT Building System' software development projects.Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes, tools, andmethodologies. Document software development processes, technical specifications, and user manuals asrequired.Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving software-related issues andensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (orequivalent work experience).Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, 2+ years ingraphics development - preferably in a collaborative agile team environment.Required Skills:Front-end web development experience (e.g. Javascript/Typescript, React, Vue, Angular,etc.) 3D computer graphics development experience (e.g. Unity, Unreal, Three.js, OpenGL, etc.) Experience working with established codebases Solid understanding of software development principles, practices, and design patterns. Knowledge of software testing principles and practices, including unit testing and automatedtesting frameworks. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complexconcepts and troubleshoot technical issues. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in ateam environment and interact with stakeholders at various levels.

Advantageous Skills: Experience with Three.js Experience with Typescript Experience with React Experience working with .NET stack Experience with UI/UX design Familiarity with relational databases and SQL, and experience with database design andoptimization.
