HQ’d in Victoria, British Columbia, we’re an early-stage start-up, looking for a full-stack developer to help build and maintain our infrastructure and develop an innovative product.

the roleThis role will play a key part in the early stages of Ruume—it’s an exciting opportunity for those who like developing new products, designing from the ground up, improving upon iterations, innovating, and critically thinking/problem-solving.

They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our infrastructure, debugging, and troubleshooting, bringing new ideas to the table, and focusing on both front and backend development. They will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, and secure.

the opportunitywork closely with the CEO and Head of Operations on tickets, product development, and delivery timelines.architect brand-new software solutions to fulfill project requirements.create and maintain database designs for data storage and processing.maintain legacy code written by other developers, including bug fixes.troubleshoot and deploy fixes from identified bugs.help scale the platform as the user base grows.

who you are✓ 5+ years of backend or infrastructure experience.✓ strong knowledge of JavaScript and Next.js.✓ understanding of effector, RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and MongoDB✓ expertise with AWS EC2 and WebRTC✓ experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.✓ familiarity with common programming design patterns and best practices.
