Job Role: Probation Senior Power Apps Developer (Senior Business Process Management (BPM) Developer)Location: Remote (Downey, CA)Duration: 12 Months Contract
Position Description:The Senior BPM Developer will manage and oversee the county-wide and departmental electronic form applications, including but not limited to supporting, planning, architecting, developing, re-designing/modifying, testing, installing, configuring, and optimizing all existing and new electronic forms/business processes based on business needs, requirements, and analysis using the low code BPM workflow/tool like Nintex, PowerApps, or other development tools. The Senior BPM Developer will possess knowledge, best practices, and technical expertise/experience in application software development methodologies; responsible to analyze, refine and translate requirements into design; develop, test, implement, and support of the new/modified automated electronic form / workflow / business processes; deploy, configure, optimize and integrate applications and components; write and maintain system documentation; database management principles including structure, design, modeling and optimization; performance management and assessment including monitoring and managing applications performances; apply vendor provided hotfixes and patches; possess good Business Process Management (BPM) knowledge and skills. The Senior BPM Developer will provide subject matter expertise in industry to evaluate new software technologies; work with customers, software vendors, and internal teams within the IT organization to support and or troubleshoot application related work such as customer requests and or incidents as applicable.

Troubleshooting and resolving application performance issues.
Experience Required:This classification must have: Two (2) years of experience within last five (5) years in designing business processes, electronic forms and layout, User Interface/ User Experience using BPM designer tools like Nintex, PowerApps, and/or other tool on-prem and Nintex Workflow Cloud; Two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years in implement solutions with multiple data sources (e.g., MS Azure SQL, MS SQL Server, and Oracle Databases); Two (2) years of experience within the last five (5) years in SharePoint Online, SharePoint Designer, Microsoft Office 365 (O365), Azure Cloud/ AD, and API/ Rest services integrations; and, Five (5) years of experience in object-oriented programming using Java, PowerShell, Power Automate, or .NET.
Experience Preferred:Professional experience in designing, developing, and deploying custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps: Canvas, Power Pages/Portal, and Model-driven app designs. (experience with all three in the last 3 years) Integration with Azure Active Directory, SharePoint, and REST data sources. (2 years experience with all three integrations) Microsoft Power Automate to automate workflows between applications and services. (3 years experience) Common relational databases and the ability to write advanced SQL queries. (5 years experience) Power BI for creating reports and dashboards with DAX and Power Query. (2 years experience) Implementing table-level security, record-level security, column-level security as well as teams and business unit security controls. (3 years experience) Implementing environment level security with Microsoft's security and compliance, including data loss prevention (DLP) policies. (3 years experience) Center of Excellence and Pocket of Excellence (1 year experience) Conducting security risk assessments and recommending necessary controls. (3 years experience) Creating custom plugins with .NET (2 years experience)
Relational database: Advanced SQL (recursive CTE, analytic functions, etc.) (5 years experience) PL/SQL and T/SQL for stored procedures and functions (5 years experience)
Education Required:This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Information:The Probation Department will conduct its own background check, in addition to the qualified vendor background check. Candidates must clear both the Department's background process and a live scan. This position is remote and open to candidates residing in any of the 50 states.
