Job Description

We are looking for experienced software engineers who are excited about the challenge of building and scaling the Mariana Tek platform, which is already making waves in the fitness industry.

As a member of the team, you will help us develop web applications, APIs, services, and infrastructure that powers our best-in-class studio management software and customer-facing products. You will work closely with a smart and dedicated team to solve challenging problems across a variety of domains, including e-commerce, scheduling, reporting, and many more.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will be directly involved in building new micro-frontends as we move parts of our application to smaller and independent codebases. You will also contribute to Xplor's web component-based design system, building components that are shared across micro-frontends and other Xplor products.

Contributing clean, performant code to our core platformCollaborating closely with product stakeholders, designers, and your fellow engineers to deliver features that support our business objectivesCollaborating with designers to build inclusive components that meet web accessibility standards.Refactoring and optimizing code in line with existing and emergent best practicesProactively writing tests and documentation to ensure the health and maintainability of shipped codeProviding constructive feedback on your colleagues’ pull requests, and accept constructive feedback on your own PRs in returnParticipating actively and thoughtfully in the full Agile development lifecycle, from planning to testing to releaseTraining and mentoring other engineers.Creates solutions that the team can reasonably execute on and when new skills are needed partners with leaders within the team to establish a reasonable path to skill advancement/additionProactively aligns and partners with engineering teams and leaders across company to reduce duplication of work and produce stronger technology choices as a wider organizationContribute to the development and execution of a technology roadmap to support our strategy and objectivesBe a change agent willing to mentor and show the value of best practices in process and technologyServes as trusted strategic technology advisor, prepares buy vs build recommendations as well as opportunity / risk evaluations for complex solution offeringsEstablish, track, and publish Software Delivery KPIs driving desired behaviors and best practicesPartners with other leaders to Cultivate an Engineering culture of Accountability & Continuous Improvement

Qualifications

4+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems10+ years of non-internship professional software development experience in full stack developmentProgramming experience with at least one software programming language (Golang, Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, C#, Rust)Programming experience with at least one software IaC languages (AWS Cloudformation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Terraform)Masters’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysisThe candidate needs to have a strong system delivery background, a well-rounded technical background, and demonstrated experience working on large scale projectsThe candidate must be willing to learn new frameworks and change contexts quickly to support various large scale projects across the company.The candidate should be comfortable working in an agile environment and collaborating with multiple teams ranging from product and design to development teamsAbility to communicate clearly and kindly with technical and non-technical colleagues.Bonus points for experience building SaaS platforms or customer-facing applicationsBonus points for experience or familiarity with Python, Go, TypeScript and Terraform.Bonus points for experience building microservices across multiple geographies.

The average base salary pay range for this role is between $80,000$-$120,000 CAD

May be considered for a discretionary bonus
